CLAT 2021 Exam Postponed
As per the latest update, the Consortium of National Law Universities has decided to postpone the CLAT 2021 Exam to 13th June 2021 from its earlier notified date of 9th May 2021. The decision to postpone CLAT 2021 Exam was taken at the Consortium’s Executive Committee meeting which was held on 6th January 2021 – Wednesday. The consortium has released a detailed notification confirming the postponement of Common Law Admission Test 2021. Postponement to avoid Clash with CBSE Exams
The law entrance exam has been postponed to avoid clash with CBSE Board Exam, which is now scheduled to be held in May 2021. Following the postponement, the exam will now be held on 13th May 2021 – Sunday in the afternoon session starting from 2 PM to 4 PM. The notification also mentions that CLAT UG 2021 and LLM Entrance Exam will now be held on the revised date of 13th May 2021.
CLAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria
With the application process already underway for CLAT 2021 examination, it is important for candidates to understand the eligibility norms for the law entrance exam, before registering for it. Going by the details provided in the exam notification, for CLAT UG 2021 exam, applicants need to clear their 10+2 i.e. Class 12 Board exam with minimum of 45% (40% for Reserved Categories). On similar lines for CLAT PG 2021 i.e. LLM Entrance Exam, candidates need to clear their Degree or equivalent qualifying exams with minimum 50% marks (45% for Reserved Categories). In case, any applicant is found to be appearing for the exam without adhering the minimum eligibility criteria, their application can be rejected by the consortium at any stage of the screening process.
