On 29 December 2022, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the board exam dates much in advance for Class 10 and 12 examinations so that students can well prepare for their examinations. As per the timetable, the exams are set to commence on February 15, 2023, for both classes. According to reports in 2023, over 34 lakh students will appear for the CBSE X and XII board exams.
Two days after releasing the datesheet, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) revised the Class 12th datesheet and released the new timetable. Students who are going to appear in the class 12th board exam can check the new datesheet on the official website of CBSE, cbse.gov.in.
As per the revised schedule, the Class 12 exams scheduled on 04 April 2023 in the datesheet have been shifted to March 27, 2023. However, there is no change has been made to the datesheet of class 10th it will remain the same as issued on 29 December 2022 including other information given in the circular.
10th and 12th class admit cards
In January, the board will release roll numbers and admit cards for the CBSE Board Exams 2023. It is possible that the admit card will be released on the official website in the second week of January. All the school heads will download the admit cards and make them available to the students. Students have to be in touch with their school to get their admit cards. These exams will be held in the subjective mode at the designated centres.
CBSE board exams timings
Class 10th examination will begin from 15 February 2023 to March 21, 2023, while the class 12th examinations will start from 15 February 2023 to 05 April 2023. Exams timing will be 10.30 am and will be conducted in two sessions - from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Students will also get extra 15 minutes to read the question paper and make their strategy though they are not allowed to write anything on the answer sheet during this time.
The CBSE Practical Exam 2023 will take place from January 2 to February 14, 2023, for both classes 10th and 12th. An external examiner will be appointed for the Class 12th board exams. CBSE released a notice regarding the same and stated, "There is a possibility that one teacher would have been appointed as an external examiner for more than one school. During the schedule of practicals, JEE (Main) will also be conducted. In such a scenario, proper planning for the conduct of Practical Examination/Project/ Internal Assessment is required at the Board level and also at the school level."
