In an initiative aimed at strengthening secondary education in the province, the Ministry of Education of San Luis presented an innovative Curriculum Design for Secondary Education for Young People. Managers of 50 educational establishments that offer secondary education for young people, a level and modality aimed at young people between 15 and 18 years old at the beginning of their school reintegration, were summoned at the San Luis Continuing Teacher Training Institute .
The purpose of the meeting was to transmit relevant details about Resolution No. 338-ME-2022, which approves the design. This new study plan , which will be implemented gradually starting with the 2024 School Year, stands out for its focus on the development of integrated projects, based on the resolution of problematic situations . Students will be protagonists of their own educational process , promoting the acquisition of general and specific abilities and skills.
In this regard, the vice principal of School No. 3 “Manuel Belgrano” de la Toma, María del Carmen Barroso, explained: “We have the youth and adult modality, which means that this meeting is very satisfactory because it trains us for the implementation of the new design. curricular. This design includes a different work, because it is in modular form, it works on developing the students' abilities more than on the contents. I mean, it's a challenge. We work as a team, with all the teachers, to develop an action project according to the needs of our students.”
For his part, Pedro Borghi, coordinator of the “La Victoriosa” Generative School, shared: “In general terms I found the meeting very attractive, educational and explained very well. We, as a generative institution, already work in a modular way but this orders us and unifies criteria. These meetings with colleagues are about growing, one has to learn to listen. We listen to other experiences from different modalities and schools, and it enriches us.”
From the Innovative and Inclusive Curricular Content Subprogram - together with the Curricular Content Development and Implementation Area - and the Innovative and Inclusive Educational Modality Subprogram, they announced that they will soon provide the detailed schedule of presentations to the teaching teams.
This event marks a crucial step in the evolution of secondary education, focusing on more participatory pedagogical methods adapted to the needs of young people, with the firm intention of promoting their active involvement in their own learning and comprehensive development.
