According to the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, the figure is 3 percent more than last year.
Of the 15,815 students, there is a total of 34,760 applications for remarking a subject or component and 222 applications for rechecking a subject.
Results of HKDSE review appeals are tentatively scheduled for release on August 17. School candidates will receive the result of the rechecking and remarking through SMS, while private and evening school candidates will receive their results through mail.
The Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) Office or other tertiary institutions concerned, as well as the Education Bureau, will also be informed of the revised results of the candidates involved at the same time.
