Speakers Bureau - Enrollment Modeling/Projection
Developing enrollment projections are a critical component of broader institutional planning. The outputs associated with enrollment projections feed into overall institutional revenue and expense projections, when including financial aid. Enrollment
projections involve assessing future enrollment of not just new students but continuing students from multiple populations – transfer, alternate enrollment periods, impact from study abroad, as well as online and graduate enrollment.
Successful enrollment projections involve multiple institutional constituents outside of Enrollment Management. Institutional Research, Finance, Academic Affairs, Housing and Residential Life, and Registrar just to name a few. Some institutions offer formal enrollment planning committees while other institutions manage enrollment projections ad hoc. Regardless of the venue, the outcome of successful enrollment planning impacts institutional finances as well as academic and residential capacity while also having reputational impacts.
In the workshop, participants will learn about different approaches to developing enrollment projections and how to galvanize the community around this important topic.
