Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Apply the basic tenants and best practices in foreign credential evaluation to authenticate records
  • Recognize major educational structures and grading practices, and identify the regions and countries that follow them
  • Evaluate authentic benchmark credentials and transcripts from top sending countries for graduate and undergraduate admissions

Presenter: Annetta Stroud, Associate Director for Training and Program Development, AACRAO International

Annetta began working with AACRAO in 2008 in the role of Senior Evaluator and Training Coordinator, and is currently the Associate Director for Training and Program Development. She has worked in the field of international education for over 17 years in various positions in international admissions and credential evaluation, student services, and academic management at both public and private institutions. Her current role with AACRAO allows her to engage in international comparative education research and to support the training of professionals in the field.  Annetta has presented at AACRAO and NAFSA conferences as well as the Education USA MENA Forum. Annetta holds a B.A. in Music from the University of New Mexico, M.A. in Adult Education from San Francisco State University, and an Ed.M. in Human Resource Development from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
