Created by seasoned AACRAO practitioners, Admissions Counselor 101 is a convenient online course that complements campus-based training for new admissions counselors and recruiters by helping them develop the knowledge and skills they'll need to recruit and enroll the best students for your institution. The curriculum covers the big picture of being an admissions professional, how to make powerful presentations, the art of recruitment and marketing, ethical considerations of the profession, and making road trips count.

Method of delivery:
The course is conducted entirely online over the Internet using a standard browser. No specialized hardware or software is required to participate, and all learning materials are furnished online. The moderator provides a short initial tutorial on how to operate in the online classroom.
Time commitment:
To benefit as intended from the course, participants are asked to set aside approximately 8-10 hours per week for reading, reflecting and interacting during each of the four weeks the course is in session. Class members can log on and participate whenever and from wherever it is convenient for them to do so.
