The Winter Institute for Transfer Credit Register Now!
January 23-26, 2017

The Winter Institute for International Transfer Credit is a four-day intensive workshop designed for individuals who work with international educational records, in admissions or study-abroad, for the possibility of transfer credit from international institutions. This workshop will focus on the determination and calculation of acceptable and applicable transfer credit from study taken outside the U.S. Over the course of the four day training, participants will apply best industry practices to transfer credit from international undergraduate, graduate and short term/ exchange programs from top-sending countries through hands-on evaluation of authentic international records and credentials.


Intensive China & India Workshop Register Now!

March 20 & 21, 2017

The intensive workshop on China and India is a two-day workshop designed for individuals who work with international educational records in any capacity that will focus on the core skill sets needed to effectively evaluate records and credentials from China and India. Upon completion of the two-day intensive training, participants will be able to apply the necessary skill sets, based on best industry practices, for both admissibility at the undergraduate and graduate level, as well as to determine the possibility of awarding transfer credit, and the mechanics of calculating it. The workshop will focus on determining institutional recognition, program level, and transfer credit through the hands-on evaluation of credentials and completed programs, as well as incomplete and in-progress programs.


Secondary School Credentials Workshop - Register Now!

May 8 & 9 , 2017

This intensive two-day workshop will focus on the application of best practices and principles of foreign credential evaluation to accurately review and assess foreign secondary school documents.  Participants in the Workshop will apply these principles with confidence to foreign secondary credential evaluation to make informed and confident admissions decisions. This workshop will focus on best practices to the approach of evaluation of education systems with less than 12 years, as well as 12, 13 and 14 year secondary systems using authentic foreign academic records. 

The Summer Institute for International Admissions - Register Now!
June 26-30, 2017 

Summer Institute for International Admissions will teach best industry practices for the evaluation of foreign credentials and its application on the job.  Attendees will gain a thorough knowledge base of educational systems around the world.  Detailed hands-on practice evaluating authentic foreign credentials in a collaborative environment will allow participants to demonstrate the capability of determining credential comparability and admission eligibility.

2-Day Intensive: International Transfer Credit Workshop
July 7 & 8, 2017 

This two-day crash course is designed for individuals who work with international educational records, in admissions or study-abroad, for the possibility of transfer credit from international institutions. This workshop will focus on the determination and calculation of acceptable and applicable transfer credit from study taken outside the U.S. Participants will apply best industry practices to transfer credit from international undergraduate, graduate and short term/ exchange programs from selected top-sending countries through hands-on evaluation of authentic international records and credentials.

2-Day Intensive: International Credential Evaluation Workshop
October 29 & 30, 2017

This intensive workshop will cover best industry practices of foreign credential evaluation and its application in undergraduate and graduate admission.  Experts in the field will lead a two-day crash course covering the basics of foreign credential evaluation, selected educational systems based on the U.S. and British systems, and how to recognize credentials from the top sending countries, with a special focus on the evaluation of credentials from China and India. Through detailed hands-on practice evaluating authentic foreign credentials in a collaborative environment, attendees will demonstrate the capability of determining credential comparability and admission eligibility.

Baden-Württemberg Seminar

A delegation of 14 AACRAO and/or NAFSA members will be invited to attend a seminar on German-American educational exchange in Freiburg, Germany this November-December. The seminar will focus on the German educational system, German-American academic equivalencies, and student exchange between German and the U.S. Lectures and discussions will be complemented by visits to secondary and tertiary educational institutions in the German state of Baden-Württemberg.
